Ragi Idli/ Finger Millet Idli / Nanchni Idli ~ Soft as well as Nutritious Idli

Soak urad dal (1 cup) & rice (raw rice or idli rice can be used- 2 cups) separately for atleast 5 hours. Grind it separately. The consistency should be smooth. Now add ragi flour (¾ Cup), little water, salt & mix well. Keep this mixed batter over night. Grease the idli plates. Pour batter in each mould. In a steamer or pressure cooker, steam (without weight) it for 10 to 15 minutes or until the idli’s are done. After it's cooked, idli’s can be removed from idli plates.
