Bangbal Kele Phodi (Raw Banana fritters)

Bangbal Kele Phodi

This Phodi is easy to prepare and goes well as side dishes in an elaborate meal.

Recipe:
Ingredients: 

  • Bangbal Kele (Raw Banana) – 2
  • Red chilli powder - 4 tbsp
  • Hing (Asofoetida) - 2 tsp 
  • Rice Powder (flour) - 3 tbsp 
  • Salt (To Taste)
  • Oil for deep frying

Method: Remove the outer skin of the raw banana using a vegetable peeler. (Hands may get sticky when we try to peel the skin, so apply little oil to palm before we start peeling). Cut the raw banana into thin rectangular slices. (First cut into half the whole banana and then cut into slices vertically, so that we get thin rectangular slices). Now Make a paste of red chilli powder, Rice Powder, salt, Asofoetida. Now coat banana slices uniformly with the mix prepared. Heat a frying pan with oil, and deep fry the slices till evenly golden on all sides.
